Hi, I'm Brea Chislett
Owner of Wonderstruck Studio. I've been photographing families in Wayland and Metrowest since 2016.
When my 4-year-old niece passed away unexpectedly, I was living across the country, away from my family. I had just moved back to Denver, and was already missing the cousin time and the support of having my family close. Rowan's death woke me up to a reality I didn't fully understand.
There is no guarantee that the people you love will hold your hand tomorrow.
While we don't all experience this sense of impermanence the same, it is a truth we all live with. It’s why I care so deeply about helping families preserve ordinary moments of love and connection.
Before opening Wonderstruck Studio in Wayland, I spent 20 years coaching gymnastics and running a competitive gym in Denver. I LOVE kids, and encouraging and supporting families has always been part of who I am.
I live with my husband, our three boys, and my perfect doggie Win Diesel. We love camping and the outdoors. When I’m not behind the camera, I am hiking, gardening, or trying to keep up with the kids on our trampoline.

I meet with each family in their home first to measure wall spaces and plan wardrobes. We design a plan for wall artwork to fit their home's specific style before the portrait session.

Families see their portraits for the first time at their ordering appointment. It's an emotional, celebrated event where I guide them through the selection process so they're never overwhelmed.

Finished Heirloom Art
I handle every detail from concept to final delivery, and even installation when requested! The winner receives finished, museum-quality artwork ready to be enjoyed on their walls, not files that get stuck on a hard drive.
Because of this full-service approach, the donation from Wonderstruck Studio typically earns the organization $500–$1,000+. This helps the organization reach its fundraising goals faster.
